My ideal job is to use my skill set to align employees, both new and experienced, with the vision and values of the company in new and exciting ways. I want to continue to use my non-traditional background of theater, circus and improv to create WOW moments for employees and customers alike.
Onboarding Coordinator, March 2007 to January 2010

Redesigned, developed and presented new employee orientation and retention efforts using best practices and a variety of adult learning and motivation techniques to welcome over 2,000 new hires annually. Results: Positively impacted new employee on-boarding experience--“Great insight, made me feel as if I was a welcomed member of the team,” (evaluation, Jan. 5, 2009)
Partnered with IT to electronically present necessary documentation for new hire onboarding process. Co-led initiative to create an electronic I-9 process. Results: reduced physical paperwork by 66%, reduced processing time, faster turnaround for new hires to get “plugged in”.
Compliance Training. Effectively introduced HIPAA concepts: confidentiality and information access--to new employees using role playing techniques. Results: replaced canned video with interactive dynamic presentation.
Oversaw change from three bi-weekly decentralized day-one orientations managed by 6 FTE's to a single weekly centralized day-one orientation coordinated by 1 FTE. Results: reduction of FTE's, continuity of message and better use of company resources.
Team member assisted in redesign of 30, 60, 90 day new hire surveys. Created electronic application, refocused overall content questions to align with company's mission and values. Results: automated process alerts management and HR when an employee falls below expectations, strategic questions give survey meaning.
Diversity Training. Facilitated a 4 hour mandatory Diversity workshop for employees.
Overall Results: increase in morale and communication: 6% reduction in turnover rates over a 2 year period placed Norton in the top 10th percentile regionally.
