All elected officers other than the president-elect are invited to gain apprenticeship experience in their new roles by participating in board meetings during the 4thquarter of each calendar year. The president-elect plays an active role during the year prior to assuming the role of President, effective as of the election date (not the calendar year).
All VP positions are responsible for submitting reports/information to the Board and attending meetings, including the membership meetings. In addition, there are responsibilities specific to each board position. Each elected board member acts as the Chairperson for a standing functional committee. The membership may elect Co-Vice Presidents to the larger standing committees.
