Biography

Consuelo L. Waight Ph.D.

Position: Associate Professor of Human Resource Development, College of Technology, University of Houston

Consuelo Waight has 15 years of experience in the areas of training and development and organization development. Consuelo has worked in Central America, Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, Africa and North America. Consuelo is a tenured professor at the University of Houston. She teaches Instructional Design, Design and Management of E-learning, and Designing Organization Development Interventions.  Consuelo is a former Fulbright Scholar and has a Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is a member of the Academy of Human Resource Development and the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations. She is also president of her consulting company, Waight Worldwide Consulting Inc. 

 
Amir Bar
Position: M.S HRD student, and a Graduate Assistant in the HDCS Department.
 
Amir Bar is a student in the HRD program. Prior to that, he worked as a project coordinator in a manufacturing company (Oil &Gas Industry). He holds a B.S in Psychology (with focus on Industrial Organization Psychology), and a minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston. His research interests lie in the field of knowledge transfer as they relate to the educational and the business environments.
